华新聚会：2月18日 周六 胡姬花园浪漫之旅

有没有觉得作为华新member好像大家一起出去玩的机会不多? 腐败k歌似乎没有新意了。水鸭子给大家出个主意, 喜欢的话要顶哦!

Singapore botanic garden 每个周六都有一个由有经验的志愿导游带领free walk.
每周的主题都不一样. 这个周六，2月18日是胡姬花园之旅。胡姬花园是SBG唯一要收门票的地方，也是SBG最美丽的园区。

现在决定是参加星期六下午四点开始团队，我们需要提前15分钟到达SBG visitor centre.



集合方式：
在NUS的筒子：周六下午2：30，在centre library bus stop集合。乘坐151过去，在Bukit Timah Road NTUC下车以后要走一段路，大约20分钟。途经法国大使馆，从植物园Bukit Timah段步行到位于植物园中心的旅客中心。另外一条路是推迟下车，坐到SPC下车，走到对面SMU。 两个路线的步行距离没有算过，不过都是要走上一段时间，中间穿过风景秀丽的Eco-lake, 野餐的好地方。

非NUS的：请在3：45之前到达SBG visitor centre. Visitor centre is at the side of Plan court. 当你看到流水和棕榈，还有吃东西的地方的时候，就是拉。在visitor centre前摆着一个签名的桌子，一个和蔼的老人，Keith, 会很热情地跟你打招呼，他是那边的负责人。

旅程：在经验丰富的志愿导游的带领下参观胡姬花园。上一次去的时候，那个导游是NUS的lecturer.因为自己喜欢种植胡姬花，在这方面经验丰富，所以特意跑来带队的。带上学生证，门票只要1元。没有学生证的，门票5元。

我们大约五点半到六点结束。可惜情人节已经过去了，要不然可以在Shaw Foundation Symphony Stage听一场名为 Gift of Love的Concert。 原来我以为可以就此办个野餐聚会，一边听音乐一边吃东西。这样子看来我们错过了音乐会，不知道大家还愿意不愿意野餐呢？如果要去的话，食物要自备。就好像以前大家一起去春游一样。

提醒带上的东西和穿着：
1 因为要走路，所以运动装是最好的打扮。如果怕晒带上帽子打上放晒霜。
2 相机！忘记带相机的话会很后悔的哦~
3 水壶。胡姬花园有饮水机，可以灌水。也有投币售货机，那么要记得带硬币。

喜欢摄影的朋友要顶哦~ 要带家属去浪漫的人也要顶哦~

And please make a note in your diary to keep the 4 Sats afternoons (3-5 pm) in March for more formal training/sessions. We are arranging these especially for you although we are also inviting all the SBG volunteers (RF, NOG, Evo and Horti) for a refresher - the subjects should suit all tastes i.e.

11 Mar - Figs by Angie Ng
18 Mar - Basic Botany (Mycorrhiza) by Dr Nura
19 Mar - Guiding Techniques by mahaya, followed by a walk with Alan Tan (Head Horticulturist)

All sessions will be in the Briefing room at the Visitor Centre. Notes may not be provided, so bring notebooks and pens.
